This past Sunday, April 28th, my wife and two younger sons drove to DeKalb, Illinois to see our oldest son play baseball against Kishwaukee College which is located about 6-7 miles west of DeKalb. 

The 89th longitude passes right through this area just to the west.  Just to the south of us was mile 89 along I-88.   

When we got there before the game started our youngest son asked if we could stop at a Game Stop store - there happened to be on there in town.   The address of this Game Stop just happened to be 2389 Sycamore Rd.

Remember the Year of The Eucharist 2005?  Well it was the 89th year from Fatima. Sister Lucia - the last of the 3 original children who witnessed Fatima - passed on 2/13 that year which was exactly 89 days from 5/13/05 and 5/13 was day ONE (1) of the 89th year since Fatima began in 1917.

The Vision Of Pope Leo XIII October 13, 1884 Exactly 33 years to the day prior to the great Miracle of the Sun in Fatima, that is, on October 13, 1884, Pope Leo XIII had a remarkable vision. Yesterday while I was watching our youngest son play in a basketball tournament in Arlington Heights, IL (St. James School)  I was called to research the numbers behind the day in 1973 that the United States Supreme Court came down with their landmark decision in Roe v. Wade.   The date for that decision was January 22, 1973 which was my father's 48th birthday.   Here's a picture in the current issue of Catholic New World newspaper which called me to focus on this date.

Earlier this morning I was doing some reading and research into the life and legacy of Pope Leo XIII.  I won't go into all the details of what I discovered, but there were two things he did which I was called to acknowledge: 1) authoring the prayer to St. Michael in 1886 to the Leonine prayers which he directed to be said after Low Mass two years earlier; and 2) he decreed that the consecration of the entire human race to the Sacred Heart of Jesus was to take place on June 11, 1899.
